The most reliable way new families find Swartz Portraits has never been an advertisement. It has been a parent at a school event pulling out their phone to show another parent the wall portrait above their fireplace. It has been a senior tagging a friend on Instagram after session day. It has been a grandmother in Conroe whose 24x24 floating frame portrait drew a question from every visitor until three more families in the neighborhood scheduled consultations.
That kind of recommendation cannot be purchased. It can only be earned, over years of producing work that families trust enough to stake their own reputation on when they tell someone else about it. The Swartz Portraits referral program is how the studio formally recognizes that contribution with something that reflects its actual value.
The full program details are at swartzportraits.com/referral-program. This post covers the mechanics, the reward tiers, who qualifies, and the reasoning behind every element of the program.
The process is intentionally straightforward. When you refer a new senior to Swartz Portraits, that referral is tracked through our booking process. If the senior completes a qualifying session, your reward is issued based on the current program details.
Because each senior portrait experience is application only and limited to 100 seniors per year, referrals matter. They help us connect with seniors who appreciate a thoughtful, personalized approach and who are excited to create something lasting.
This program is designed to be easy for families to share and easy for us to honor.
The referral program is a great fit for current clients, past clients, family friends, and anyone who knows a senior ready to plan portraits. It works especially well for families who value heirloom artwork, a polished experience, and a session designed around the senior’s style and personality.
Ty photographs senior sessions across the Spring corridor, throughout the greater Houston Metro, and at sunrise on the Texas coast in Galveston or Corpus Christi. If you know someone looking for a photographer who brings artistry and intention to every part of the process, this is a great place to start.
The referral program is open to two groups: past Swartz Portraits clients, defined as parents or legal guardians who have completed a session and purchased heirloom products, and active Swartz Portraits Senior Ambassadors. There is no expiration date on past-client eligibility. A Virginia family whose senior graduated two years ago and who has a neighbor in The Woodlands with a Class of 2027 senior can still refer and earn the reward.
The referred family must be new to Swartz Portraits with no prior inquiry on file. The referral must be identified at the consultation booking by the referred family mentioning the referring client's name when they schedule at swartzportraits.com/scheduler-service/free-in-home-consultation. The studio logs the referral and handles everything from that point. The counter advances when the referred family's heirloom product purchase is complete.
Active Senior Ambassadors qualify for the same lifetime tiered rewards as past clients. Many ambassadors begin earning referrals before their own session is complete, because they are sharing the experience with their peer network while the relationship with the studio is active. For ambassadors under 18, all reward delivery and any IRS Form 1099-MISC documentation for rewards exceeding $600 in a calendar year is issued to the parent or guardian on file.
If you are a past Swartz Portraits client with a referral in mind, the timing right now is specifically valuable. August sessions for the Class of 2027 are open. The calendar fills in the order that consultations are confirmed. A family who schedules their consultation now, based on your recommendation, has the best access to August dates before the calendar fills.
Share the consultation link with the family you are referring: swartzportraits.com/scheduler-service/free-in-home-consultation. They can also call 832-305-5426 or email tswartz@swartzportraits.com. Every referral inquiry comes to me personally and receives a response within one business day.
For new families who arrive through a referral, the consultation is the right first step: in your home, no cost, no obligation, about an hour, and the beginning of designing a senior portrait experience built entirely around your son or daughter.
