Tomball senior portraits, as individual as the Cougar wearing them.
A fine art senior guide for Tomball Cougars. What to wear in red and white, where to photograph around historic Tomball, and how two seniors will represent the Class of 2027 as this year's ambassadors.
Represent Tomball
Two Cougars will represent the Class of 2027.
Each year, no more than two Tomball seniors are chosen to represent their school as Swartz Portraits ambassadors. An ambassador's favorite portraits are featured on this page, seen by every Cougar family who comes here to plan their own senior's session. If you are the senior your friends already ask to take their photos, this is your spot.

The Pride of Texas, since 1908.
Tomball High is the original, the school that traces its line to 1908 and was the only high school in Tomball ISD until 2011. Its motto, the Pride of Texas, is not marketing; it is more than a century of red and white in a town the railroad built.
Recent Cougars added to that history in a big way, bringing home a UIL 6A state baseball championship in 2024. Tradition here is lived, not displayed.
A school with roots that deep deserves portraits with the same sense of permanence. Editorial, timeless, and unmistakably yours, made across up to five hours rather than a single rushed session.
What to wear, and where we photograph.
Wearing red and white
Tomball runs red and white, a striking pairing precisely because it is simple. Let a clean white or cream palette do the work and bring red in as the anchor or a single strong accent, so the color reads as pride rather than noise. Bring two or three outfits that feel like you, plus one that leans editorial. We plan the full set together at your consultation.
Cap and gown, done properly
Every Tomball senior gets a proper cap-and-gown set, photographed with intention rather than in a line. Bring the gown pressed and the cap flat, and we handle the rest, including the tassel and the small details that make it an heirloom rather than a snapshot.
Where a Tomball session happens
A Tomball session belongs to the historic town it comes from: downtown Tomball and the old railroad depot, the pines and trails of Burroughs Park, the sculpted paths of Mercer Botanic Gardens, and the wide Texas light of Sam Houston National Forest nearby. Up to five hours, unlimited outfit changes, and two or three completely different looks.
Bring your bestie.
Senior year was not something you did alone, so your session does not have to be either. Bring your best friend along and we will make a few images of the two of you, the ones you will both still have framed long after graduation. Just mention it at the consultation so we can plan the time.
Swartz Portraits proudly supports Tomball High School and its seniors. We are an independent studio, and we are not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Tomball High School or Tomball ISD. School names, colors, and mascots are referenced only to identify the seniors we serve.
