About Master Photographer Ty Swartz

The Difference

A photograph is taken. A portrait is made.

A Photograph Taken

Thirty minutes, one backdrop

A volume session moves your senior through a line. A few frames, a generic background, a folder of files. It documents a year. It rarely says anything about who your senior actually is.

A Portrait Made

An experience built around one senior

A consultation that listens first. Real locations and styling chosen for your senior. Up to five unhurried hours. Then a private reveal and heirlooms made to hang in your home for the next forty years.

Senior portrait at The Woodlands Waterway by Swartz Portraits, golden-hour fine art session, Spring TX senior photographer serving the Houston metro
The Experience

Built around your senior, start to finish.

It begins with a free in-person consultation where we listen to who your senior is becoming. From there the session is designed: real locations, styling, and pacing chosen for your senior, with up to five hours and unlimited outfit changes so nothing feels rushed.

It ends the way it should, with a private reveal and museum-quality heirlooms handcrafted by GraphiStudio in Italy. Files are forgotten in folders. Wall portraits become part of the family record.

Mr. Swartz has a gift working with people. He helped each senior look their best; he knew how to pose each student to highlight their instrument and personality. He is wonderful to work with.

My daughter’s senior portraits are better than anything I could have hoped for. Ty is a Master Photographer; low pressure, easy to work with, professional, and talented. The best decision I ever made.

Mr. Swartz was extremely professional, funny, and kind. He captured my daughter’s vision in every setting. When we viewed the final results, I had to grab tissues; I was absolutely stunned. His abilities and final product are top tier.

Before You Ask

The questions every family has.

Is it worth the investment?

The families who ask that question are the ones most grateful they said yes. These are not photos in a folder. They are fine art prints designed to hang in your home for generations.

My senior does not like being photographed.

After forty years and more than a thousand seniors, Ty has photographed every version of camera-shy. By hour two something shifts. By hour five, families are seeing a version of their senior they did not know existed.

Why a fee just for the session?

The session fee secures up to five hours with a Master Photographer, the pre-session consultation, and the editing of your reveal images. It is not a deposit on prints. It is the fee for the experience itself.

Will we actually get a spot?

Apply and find out. We accept 100 seniors a year, and the process is designed so every senior we photograph receives our full attention. Applications are reviewed in the order received.

We just moved here.

The free in-home consultation includes a location strategy session. Ty walks you through every premium location in Spring, The Woodlands, and Conroe and helps your senior choose what feels most like them.

Can siblings share a session?

Each senior gets their own session, because each senior gets their own portraits. The Class of 2027 Sibling Bonus rewards families with a younger sibling photographed the same day at no additional session fee.

Class of 2027 Sibling Bonus

One senior books. The whole family is photographed.

When a Class of 2027 senior books a session, younger siblings are photographed the same day at no additional session fee, with their own individual portraits and a family portrait if parents join.

The Investment

Clear, and honest from the start.

$300

Session fee, paid at booking

The session fee secures your senior date and the full designed experience. Your collection investment, the wall portraits, prints, and heirloom albums you choose for your home, is presented in person at your private reveal, never guessed at online.

Common Questions

What families ask most.

How much does a luxury senior portrait session cost in Spring, Texas?

The session fee is $300, paid at booking, and covers up to five hours with a Master Photographer, the in-home consultation, and reveal editing. Wall portraits, prints, and heirloom albums are chosen in person at your reveal.

When should we book senior portraits in the Houston metro?

Book by January for spring sessions and by June for fall. With only 100 seniors accepted a year and limited Class of 2027 availability, earlier is safer.

What is a Master Photographer of the PPA?

It is the Professional Photographers of America’s earned Master of Photography degree. Paired with the Photographic Craftsman degree and Certified Professional Photographer credential, it is held by fewer than two percent of photographers nationally.

What makes this different from yearbook or volume photos?

A volume session is thirty minutes and one backdrop. This is up to five hours, multiple real locations, unlimited outfits, a private reveal, and museum-quality heirlooms made in Italy.
