Cypress, Texas · Cy-Fair ISD · Class of 2027

Senior portraits in Cypress, where the water meets the prairie.

A fine art portrait experience for the seniors of Cypress and the Cy-Fair corridor. Photographed across the boardwalks and boathouses of Towne Lake, the Bridgeland lake district, and the preserves along Little Cypress Creek. Up to five hours, multiple locations, unlimited outfits.

Editorial fine art senior portrait at golden hour in Cypress, Texas by Master Photographer Ty Swartz of Swartz Portraits

Cypress is the master-planned edge of northwest Houston. About twenty-five miles from downtown, where US 290 and the Grand Parkway open into what was prairie and rice a generation ago, Cy-Fair ISD has grown into the third-largest school district in Texas. The communities came fast and came big: lakes dug and filled, boardwalks built, prairie preserved in ribbons between the rooftops. What Cypress kept was water and open sky, and a Friday-night-lights culture as serious as any in the state.

What follows is for the senior portrait families who live here. The neighborhoods, the schools across Cy-Fair ISD, the ten signature locations that come up most in the consultation when we choose where your senior's session will happen, and what to expect from the first kitchen-table conversation to the heirloom that lives on your wall for the rest of your senior's life.

Why Cypress · The Cy-Fair Corridor

A master-planned corridor built around water.

Drive the Grand Parkway across the top of Cypress and the pattern is clear. Prairie, then a lake, then a village center, then prairie again. Cypress grew out of rice fields and cattle land in a single generation, and the master plans that filled it were built around water: recreational lakes, boardwalks, boathouses, and the creeks and preserves left in between. The result is a place with more open sky and more waterfront than almost anywhere else in greater Houston.

The families here are a genuine mix. Multigenerational Cy-Fair families whose parents graduated from the same district. First-generation, college-bound families for whom the senior portrait is a milestone the whole family shares. Corporate families relocated along the 290 energy corridor who have the budget but not yet the local network. Their seniors are equally varied: the top-of-the-class achiever building a college-ready personal brand, the student-athlete and creator with a real eye for style, the senior whose family treats the portrait as the next piece of art on the wall.

The senior portraits that come out of Cypress reflect that range. A session on the boardwalk at Towne Lake, modern and water-lit. A second in the historic buildings at Cypress Top, a full century away. A third in the bluebonnets in March, or the gardens at Mercer at golden hour. Each a completely different visual. Each close to where your senior grew up.

The Communities We Serve

Six anchors of the Cypress corridor.

Every community across the corridor has its own character. Every senior, their own. The session is designed around both.

Fine art senior portrait of a Bridgeland Cypress senior by Master Photographer Ty Swartz of Swartz Portraits
Cy-Fair ISD · Master-Planned Lake District

Bridgeland.

The largest master-planned community in the corridor, and one of the largest in the country, Bridgeland spreads across the prairie north of US 290 around a chain of lakes and the Lakeland Village Center. The families here relocated for the schools and the water, and Bridgeland delivers both: pelicans on the lakes, miles of trail, and a four-story Bridgeland High School at the center of it. Zoned to Cy-Fair ISD.

Bridgeland portraits lean clean, editorial, and timeless, the gallery-worthy look that reads like a magazine cover on a family wall. The session often pairs the community's own lakes and boardwalks with the light off the water, the neutral palette these families tend to want, made in the place they chose.

Bridgeland Bears · Cy-Fair ISD · Master-Planned Lake District

Modern water-lit fine art senior portrait of a Towne Lake Cypress senior by Swartz Portraits
Cy-Fair ISD · Boardwalk and Private Lake

Towne Lake.

Built around the largest private recreational lake in Texas, Towne Lake is the boat-and-boardwalk community on the west side of Barker Cypress. The Boardwalk district brings restaurants, string lights, and a boathouse to the water's edge, and residents move by golf cart and by boat. Zoned to Cy-Fair ISD and Cypress Ranch.

Towne Lake portraits are modern, sharp, and water-lit. The session works the boardwalk, the boathouse, and the lake reflections at golden hour, the polished, accomplished look the achievement-focused senior wants for graduation, college applications, and a first professional profile.

Cy-Fair ISD · Established Master Plan

Coles Crossing.

An established master plan of mature trees and connected lakes off Barker Cypress, Coles Crossing is the settled, family-centered heart of this part of Cypress. The homes have grown into their oaks, the amenity lakes have aged well, and the community feeds Cypress Woods High School just up the road. Zoned to Cy-Fair ISD.

Coles Crossing portraits run warm and expressive, made for the senior who wants heritage and personality both visible in the frame. Many are first-generation, college-bound seniors whose portrait is a milestone for the whole family, and the session is built to honor exactly that.

Cypress Woods Wildcats · Cy-Fair ISD · Established Master Plan

Bold clean fine art senior portrait of a Copperfield Cypress senior by Swartz Portraits
Cy-Fair ISD · Established Jones Road Corridor

Copperfield.

One of the original master plans of northwest Houston, Copperfield runs along the Jones Road corridor in established, tree-lined villages. The neighborhood has raised a generation of Cy-Fair seniors, and its mature parks, like Matzke and its butterfly garden, sit minutes from the front door. Zoned to Cy-Fair ISD and Cypress Falls.

Copperfield portraits lean bold and clean, with edge and polish and never stiff. For the student-athlete and creator building a personal brand, the session mixes the neighborhood's mature settings with a harder editorial location, portraits that stand out for recruiting, socials, and a creative brand of their own.

Cy-Fair ISD · The 290 Master Plan

Fairfield.

A large, established master plan on the north side of US 290, Fairfield grew up around golf, mature trees, and a network of pools and trails. The families here have been in place for years, and the community carries the settled, wooded character that the newer prairie plans are still growing into. Zoned to Cy-Fair ISD.

Fairfield portraits use the mature landscape the community is known for, the old trees and the golf-course light, for a senior who wants a grounded, natural setting close to home before the session runs out to water or prairie for contrast.

Cy-Fair ISD · Golf and Prairie

Blackhorse Ranch.

A golf community on the western edge of Cypress, Blackhorse Ranch spreads across two courses, prairie, and fairway lakes toward the Hockley line at the county edge. The families here chose the space and the sky at the open edge of the corridor, where the rooftops thin and the prairie reappears. Zoned to Cy-Fair ISD.

Blackhorse portraits lean open and cinematic, working the fairway light, the prairie grasses, and the wide western sky. For the senior who wants their portraits to feel a little more wide-open than a subdivision allows, without leaving Cypress.

High Schools We Serve

Every senior, every school.

Class of 2027 senior portrait families come from every high school across the Cy-Fair corridor. The studio is independent of the district. No school contracts. No yearbook obligations. No required minimums. The work is for the family, not for the school. And no more than eight seniors are accepted from any single high school, so each school's look stays varied and each senior's portraits stay their own.

Cy-Fair ISD · The Northwest Master Plans

The new west corridor.

The fastest-growing side of Cy-Fair ISD runs northwest along the Grand Parkway, where the newest master plans meet the newest schools. The Bridgeland Bears anchor the four-story campus at the center of Bridgeland. The Cypress Ranch Mustangs serve Towne Lake and the Fry Road communities. The Cypress Park Tigers round out the west side. These are the relocated and first-generation Cypress families drawn by the schools and the water.

Cy-Fair ISD · The Cypress Core

The heart of Cy-Fair.

Through the center of Cypress, the established campuses carry some of the strongest academic and athletic reputations in northwest Houston. The Cypress Woods Wildcats serve Coles Crossing and the Spring Cypress corridor. The Cypress Falls Golden Eagles anchor the Jones Road side and Copperfield. The Cypress Creek Cougars hold the Grant Road communities. Multigenerational Cy-Fair families are the heart of the studio's corridor work.

Cy-Fair ISD · Founding Campuses & Private

The founding campuses.

The district's founding campuses and its independent schools carry their own senior tradition. The Cy-Fair Bobcats hold the historic US 290 campus that dates to the 1930s. The Cypress Lakes Spartans and the Cypress Springs Panthers serve the established south. Alongside them, Cypress Christian School and the Cy-Fair homeschool network keep their own senior portrait calendar around the studio's hundred-senior-per-year ceiling.

"The Towne Lake boardwalk to the woods of Little Cypress Creek is fifteen minutes. Every senior session uses at least two of the ten."

Where Your Senior's Session Happens

Ten signature locations across the Cypress corridor.

Every session uses two or three locations, chosen together during the free in-home consultation. These ten come up the most often, because each gives a completely different visual within a short drive of your senior's front door.

Seasonal · March to April

Cypress Prairie Bluebonnets

For a few weeks each spring, the prairie and roadsides across the corridor fill with bluebonnets. A seasonal exclusive, planned in advance and photographed at peak bloom. The iconic Texas senior portrait, and a lasting parent favorite.

What the Experience Includes

A session designed around your senior.

Every senior accepted into the year's hundred begins with a free in-home consultation. We sit at your kitchen table. Your senior tells me who they are. Not their resume. Their actual self. We choose two or three locations from anywhere on this page. We talk through the outfits, the looks, the props that matter, and the family heirlooms you would like the session to produce.

The session itself runs up to five hours, with unlimited outfit changes, across the locations we have planned together. Five hours is not a marketing number. It is the amount of time it takes for a high school senior to stop performing and start showing up as themselves. The first hour is the warm-up. The second is the senior settling in. The third and fourth are where the actual portraits live. The fifth is the bonus, the looks that happen because the trust is already built and the energy is loose.

Seven to ten days after the session, your senior and the parents come back to see the proofs at a reveal session. Not a hard sell. Not a high-pressure picking exercise. A presentation, designed to help your family decide which images become the heirloom artwork that lives on your walls and which become the digital files you share for college essays and graduation announcements.

The fine art prints and wall pieces are handcrafted in Italy by GraphiStudio, the standard the rest of the industry quietly measures itself against. Acid-free archival papers. Hand-bound albums. Wall art that arrives ready to hang. The kind of object that survives generations because it was built to.
