Cypress Ranch senior portraits, as individual as the Mustang wearing them.
A fine art senior guide for Cypress Ranch Mustangs. What to wear in navy and gold, where to photograph across Cypress, and how two seniors will represent the Class of 2027 as this year's ambassadors.
Represent Cypress Ranch
Two Mustangs will represent the Class of 2027.
Each year, no more than two Cypress Ranch seniors are chosen to represent their school as Swartz Portraits ambassadors. An ambassador's favorite portraits are featured on this page, seen by every Mustang family who comes here to plan their own senior's session. If you are the senior your friends already ask to take their photos, this is your spot.

Navy and gold, and built by its students.
Cypress Ranch opened in 2008 and made national noise a few years later when its students produced a viral anti-bullying lip dub entirely on their own, a project well enough known that it was spoofed on national television. That is the tell about this place: Cy Ranch students make things happen themselves.
The Mustangs draw from the Bridgeland and Towne Lake side of Cypress, navy and gold, one of the larger and more spirited student bodies in Cy-Fair.
For a school built on student initiative, the portraits should feel authored, not processed. Editorial, personal, and unmistakably yours, made across up to five hours rather than a single rushed session.
What to wear, and where we photograph.
Wearing navy and gold
Cypress Ranch runs navy and gold, a confident pairing that photographs cleanly when navy leads. A navy anchor piece or a cream-and-camel neutral palette carries most looks, with gold as the accent that reads as school pride. Bring two or three outfits that feel like you, plus one that leans editorial. We plan the full set together at your consultation.
Cap and gown, done properly
Every Cypress Ranch senior gets a proper cap-and-gown set, photographed with intention rather than in a line. Bring the gown pressed and the cap flat, and we handle the rest, including the tassel and the small details that make it an heirloom rather than a snapshot.
Where a Cypress Ranch session happens
Cypress Ranch sits near Fry Road and the Bridgeland community, minutes from the settings that photograph best: the Bridgeland lake district, the Boardwalk at Towne Lake, Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve, and the sculpted paths of Mercer Botanic Gardens. Up to five hours, unlimited outfit changes, and two or three completely different looks.
Bring your bestie.
Senior year was not something you did alone, so your session does not have to be either. Bring your best friend along and we will make a few images of the two of you, the ones you will both still have framed long after graduation. Just mention it at the consultation so we can plan the time.
